Gourmet Days of August

August 13th & 15th

In August, the fruits are filled with sugar and ready to be cooked in jams.

Come at the castle and assist to the preparation of the jams in the medieval kitchen, following old recipes or the inspiration of the cooks. The jams are cooked in copper-pans on the stove from the 19th century.

The delicious pancakes invite you to taste those jams and help the choice when tile comes to by some jar to make the gourmet experience go on.

The kitchen garden is exceptionally open during the Gourmet Days. Its layout is favourable for a walk and the children can enjoy it to discover the vegetable and fruit species that grow in it.

In the castle, admire the exhibition “Rêves de Jardins” made of models and water painted plans of gardens. Those are the creations of Philippe de Kersabiec, Florence d’Ersu and Jacques Hennequin. It runs until August 30th.

The exhibition “Paysages Images” of Mélanie Vallet, painter and sculptor is located in the granary. It runs until August 31th.
