The summer holidays are coming soon! During the months of July and August, the all family have fun at the Château du Lude.

The Gourmet Days

During the week-end of 14th July and 15th August, the medieval kitchen of the château awakes. Yhe wooden stove is started up to make jams in the copper pans. The old-fashioned recipies mix the season fruits: redcurrents, strawberries, raspberries, apricots and rhubarb.
Once cooked, the jams are to be tasted on delicious crepes, made at the same time, with a glass of apple juice. After the tasting, the jars are for sale to bring home.

During those days, the family kitchen garden is open to public. Flowers, vegetables and fruit trees are harmoniously distributed, making the garden a place pleasant  for the walker and attractive for the pollinating bugs.

Visit the house and its park

During the tour of the house, the children can play the princess or the knight with the costums at their disposal.
In the stabbles, visit the carriages and get in the carosse of the Duke of Daillon to take a picture.

In the gardens, the children play in the moat and their underground tunnel or the mazes. At the shop, wooden outdoor games are in rent.
